Faith amidst crisis

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear brothers, we continue to go through these moments of world crisis in different spheres of society, economic, political and social. This week, to give just one example, due to low demand, the barrel of oil dropped so much in its price that its value went to negative state, the economical implications of this are discouraging. But nothing in the kingdom of God is in crisis, God is still reining, Christ continues on his right side, interceding for his own, and the Lord's eschatological clock is exactly on time. In moments like these more than ever we have to be grateful to our Lord for having given us the gift of faith to believe in Him, because this faith that we have received by the grace of the Lord is more valuable every day.
Our faith is a miracle, faith is the ability that God gives to the lost, to trust him and to obey our Savior and Lord. Faith rests in the character of God even more than in his promises, that is, we trust in God's promises because we trust in the inmutable character of the one who makes them, even though we have not received the promises we continue to trust God because we know him and we know that he cannot lie. He is a true and faithful God and he has never disappointed anyone who trusts in him.
Our faith will be tested and I believe in fact that these times serve to prove how real it is. True faith glorifies God at all times even in the most acute crisis that you may experience.
The apostle Peter exhorts us to rejoice even in the midst of various trials, because God wants not only that we have faith, but that we have a refined faith, more precious than gold so that when Christ is manifested we receive praise from our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:6-7).
Nurture your faith each day, set aside a time each day to seriously study God's Word, and then pray asking the Lord to help you obey it.
Gracia y paz a ustedes, de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
Queridos hermanos, continuamos atravesando por estos momentos de crisis mundial en diferentes esferas de la sociedad tanto económicos, políticos y sociales. Esta semana, para poner tan solo un ejemplo, debido a la escasa demanda, el barril de petróleo bajó tanto en su precio que quedó su valor en estado negativo, las implicaciones de esto económicamente son desalentadoras. Pero nada en el reino de Dios está en crisis, Dios sigue reinando, Cristo continúa a su derecha intercediendo por los suyos y el reloj escatológico del Señor está exactamente en hora. En momentos como estos más que nunca tenemos que estar agradecidos con nuestro Señor por habernos regalado el don de la fe para creer en El, porque esta fe que hemos recibido por la gracia del Señor cada día es más valiosa. Nuestra fe es un milagro, la fe es la capacidad que Dios da a los perdidos, para confiar en él y obedecer a nuestro Salvador y Señor.
La fe reposa en el carácter de Dios aún más que en sus promesas, es decir nosotros confiamos en las promesas de Dios porque confiamos en el carácter inmutable de aquel que las hace, aun cuando las promesas no las hemos recibido continuamos confiando en Dios porque le conocemos y sabemos que él no puede mentir, él es un Dios fiel y verdadero y jamás ha defraudado a ninguno que en él confía.
Nuestra fe será probada y creo de hecho que estos tiempos sirven para que comprobemos cuan real es ella, la verdadera fe glorifica a Dios en todo momento, aun en la crisis más aguda que pueda experimentar.
El apóstol Pedro nos exhorta a gozarnos aun en medio de diversas pruebas, porque Dios quiere no solo que tengamos fe, sino que tengamos una refinada fe, más preciosa que el oro para que cuando Cristo sea manifestado recibamos alabanza de parte de nuestro Señor Jesucristo (1 Pedro 1:6-7).
Alimente su fe cada día, aparte un tiempo a diario para estudiar seriamente la Palabra de Dios, y luego ore pidiéndole al Señor que le ayude a obedecerla.
